2. Products & Descriptions

2.1. We specialise in handcrafted furniture made from natural materials.
2.2. All product images and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible; however, natural variations in colour, grain, texture, and finish are inherent characteristics of wood and are not considered defects.
2.3. Measurements may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of our products.

 

3. Orders & Acceptance

3.1. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
3.2. An order is only confirmed once payment (50% deposit) has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
3.3. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, including where materials are unavailable or pricing errors occur.

 

4. Pricing & Payment

4.1. All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).
4.2. Full payment is required before the item can be delivered or collected, unless otherwise agreed in writing. If the item is needing to be delivered, delivery costs may vary depending on the variation of delivery.
4.3. Payment methods may include EFT, card payments, or cash.

 

5. Custom & Made-to-Order Items

5.1. Custom or made-to-order items are produced specifically according to customer requirements.
5.2. Once production has begun, custom orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded, except where a confirmed defect exists, and is agreed by both parties.

 

6. Delivery

6.1. Delivery timeframes provided are estimates and may vary due to production timelines or courier delays.
6.2. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery/collection.
6.3. Ownership and delivery of the Goods passes only once full payment has been received.

 

7. Guarantee

7.1. We provide a limited workmanship and material guarantee as set out in our Guarantee Policy.
7.2. This guarantee does not constitute a warranty and does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, environmental damage, or natural material characteristics.

 

8. Returns & Refunds

8.1. Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy.
8.2. Repairs or replacements will be the primary remedy for valid claims, in line with our Guarantee Policy.
8.3. Delivery and handling fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

 

9. Consumer Rights

9.1. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits the customer’s rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.

10.1. All content on this website, including images, text, and designs, remains our intellectual property.

11. Privacy

12.1. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the sale or use of Goods is limited to the purchase price of the affected item.

14.1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
14.2. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our furniture. While we do not offer a formal warranty on our products, we do provide a limited workmanship and material guarantee as outlined below.

1. Guarantee Coverage

1.1. All furniture sold by us is guaranteed to be free from material defects and workmanship faults at the time of delivery.
1.2. This guarantee applies only to defects that arise from poor workmanship or faulty materials, and not from normal use or external factors.

 

2. Guarantee Period

2.1. The guarantee is valid for [6 months] from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated in writing.
2.2. Any issues must be reported to us in writing within this period, together with clear photographs and a description of the problem.

 

3. What Is Not Covered

This guarantee does not cover:

  • Natural characteristics of wood, including grain variation, knots, colour changes, or movement caused by temperature and humidity
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper care, or failure to follow care instructions
  • Damage caused by water exposure, direct sunlight, heat sources, or pests
  • Alterations, repairs, or modifications carried out by third parties
  • Accidental or intentional damage after delivery

 

4. Custom & Handmade Items

4.1. As many of our items are handcrafted and made from natural materials, slight variations in size, colour, grain, and finish are considered normal and are not defects.
4.2. Custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable unless a qualifying defect is confirmed.

 

5. Remedies

5.1. If a valid defect is confirmed within the guarantee period, we reserve the right to:

  • Repair the item, or
  • Replace the defective part or item, or
  • Offer a reasonable refund or credit, at our discretion
    5.2. Any repair or replacement will be the sole remedy under this guarantee.

 

6. Consumer Rights

6.1. This guarantee is provided in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, where applicable.

 

7. Transport & Access

7.1. Where a repair or assessment requires collection, the customer may be responsible for transport costs unless otherwise agreed.
7.2. Reasonable access must be provided to inspect or collect the item if required.

 

We aim to ensure that every customer is satisfied with their purchase. As many of our items are handcrafted and made to order, the following Returns & Refund Policy applies.

 

1. General

1.1. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Guarantee Policy.
1.2. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this Returns & Refund Policy.

 

2. Custom & Made-to-Order Items

2.1. All custom, bespoke, or made-to-order furniture is non-returnable and non-refundable, unless the item is defective or does not match the agreed specifications.
2.2. Variations in wood grain, colour, texture, or finish are natural characteristics and do not qualify as defects or grounds for return.

 

3. Non-Custom (Standard) Items

3.1. Where items are not custom-made, returns may be considered within 7 days of delivery, subject to the following:

  • The item must be unused and in its original condition
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging
  • Proof of purchase must be provided
    3.2. Transport costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

 

4. Defective or Incorrect Items

4.1. If an item is defective, damaged on delivery, or not as ordered, the customer must notify us within 7 days of delivery in writing, including clear photographs of the issue.
4.2. Once the issue is assessed and confirmed, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the item
  • Replace the item or affected part
  • Offer a reasonable refund or store credit

 

5. Assessment & Resolution

5.1. All returned items are subject to inspection before any refund, repair, or replacement is approved.
5.2. Where a repair or replacement is approved, this will be the primary remedy in line with our Guarantee Policy.

 

6. Refunds

6.1. Approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after assessment.
6.2. Refunds will be made via EFT.

 

7. Consumer Rights

7.1. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, including your right to receive goods that are of good quality and reasonably fit for purpose.

 

8. Cancellations

8.1. Orders for custom or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production has begun, a 50% deposit will be required in order for production to take place, the deposit is non-refundable.
8.2. Cancellations requested before production begins may be considered at our discretion.
